The International Day of Peace was established in 1981 by the United Nations General Assembly. The event is free and all are welcome.
The North Hills observance is being sponsored by the Pittsburgh North People for Peace and the North Hills Anti-Racism Coalition. Partnering organizations are Sisters of Divine Providence, AAUW North Hills Pittsburgh, League of Women Voters of Greater Pittsburgh, and North Hills Ebony Women, Inc.
