Julie Tulba

Julie Tulba is an acclaimed fiction author. The Butler County Community College librarian has surrounded herself with words for much of the last decade — first as a librarian, and second as an aspiring historical fiction scribe.
Julie published her first book, The Tears of Yesteryear, in 2019, followed by The Auschwitz Photograph (originally published as The Dead Are Resting) in 2021, Red Clay Ashes in 2022 and Last Call Cairo in 2024. She lives in the Pittsburgh area, with her passport always at the ready for her next international adventure, but also brainstorming ideas for her next novel.
It was series like Dear America, Little House on the Prairie, and American Girl that instilled in Julie at a young age her lifelong love and fascination with history. And a childhood spent growing up in Philadelphia, colonial America’s foremost metropolis, further cemented this love affair. Besides history, travel is Julie’s other great love in life. She’s been to more than 40 countries and as her favorite quote goes- “I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list” (attribution going to Susan Sontag).
