ANNOUNCING 2025-26 Sister Matilda Kelly Incentive Grant WINNER
We are proud to announce that our Sister Matilda Kelly Grant recipient for 2025 is Zadia Gonzalez Rosando.
Members of the grant committee Sina Murphy, Donna Macsuga and Barbara Mathews presented the grant. Committee members not pictured include Maryann Anderson, Debbie Rosenfelder and Sylvia Lynn.
Zadia grew up in Madrid Spain, is an only child, a soccer player and a very good student who when she arrived at La Roche University worked hard on her spoken English. She decided to attend La Roche University because of its intimate and supportive environment and is pursuing a double major in Mathematics and Computer Science. She is active in leadership positions; President of the Spanish club, a Peer Mentor, works in the dining hall, plays soccer and does very well with her studies. She has volunteered at the Greek Food Festival at Holy Trinity, is a member of the running club at North Park and plays soccer for La Roche and the First National Team Women’s Soccer. Her essay was very well written and the recommendations from instructors glowing.
La Roche University Women’s Soccer Head Coach Miguel Lozano attended and congratulated Zaida who is on the La Roche University Women Soccer team on receiving the AAUW Grant.
